November 2022\, um 19 Uhr in Bremen\, Kulturzentrum Kukoon\, im Buntentor \nDie Veranstaltung findet in englischer Sprache statt. Bei Bedarf mit Flüsterübersetzung. – English version below. \nDer Vortrag befasst sich mit der Beziehung zwischen Antizionismus und älteren antijüdischen Ideologien. Er führt durch Debatten über den angeblichen historischen Essentialismus von David Nirenbergs Antijudaismus und Hannah Arendts Fokus auf die geografischen\, zeitlichen und sozialen Besonderheiten der einzelnen antijüdischen Bewegungen. Ebenfalls zur Diskussion stehen die Handlungen sowie die Verantwortung für eine Form des Antisemitismus\, die von denjenigen\, die ihn zu übernehmen und zu  tragen scheinen\, wütend geleugnet wird. David Hirsh betrachtet den funktionalistischen Aspekt des Antisemitismus für diejenigen\, die ihn aus älteren\, aber immer noch virulenten Ideologiefragmenten re-konstruieren. Der Vortrag stützt sich dabei auf Beispiele aus dem aktuellen politischen und akademischen Diskurs. \nDavid Hirsh ist Dozent für Soziologie an der Goldsmiths University of London. It finds a route through debates about the alleged historical essentialism of David Nirenberg’s anti-Judaism and Hannah Arendt’s focus on the geographical\, temporal and social specificities of each anti-Jewish movement. It considers agency and responsibility for a form of antisemitism that is angrily denied by those who appear to embrace and carry it. It thinks about a functionalist aspect of antisemitism for those who re-construct it out of older but still virulent fragments of ideology. It draws on examples from contemporary political and academic discourse. David Hirsh is a Senior Lecturer in Sociology at Goldsmiths\, University of London.
