Exposing the Invisible<\/i> ist eine dreiteilige Reihe von Kurzfilmen der NGO Tactical Tech<\/a>, die die inspirierende und provozierende Arbeit von K\u00fcnstlerInnen, HackerInnen und AktivistInnen portraitieren, welche mit einer Kollektion von digitalen Rechercheinstrumenten das entlarven, was vor uns verborgen wurde. Die Reihe schl\u00e4gt einen Bogen vom Vereinigten K\u00f6nigreich, \u00fcber den Libanon und Israel zum Drohnenkrieg im Nordwesten Pakistans. Wie wird mit Daten und deren Visualisierung gearbeitet? Wie sch\u00fctzen die AktivistInnen sich bei ihren Nachforschungen?<\/p>\n

Die Vorf\u00fchrung der Kurzfilme<\/strong> erfolgt in englischer Sprache, die Diskussion in Deutsch, Englisch<\/em> oder gemischt, wie aus dem Publikum gew\u00fcnscht. <\/em><\/p>\n

Den dritten Kurzfilm der Serie, Unseen War<\/strong>, zeigen wir zus\u00e4tzlich auch am Donnerstag, 30. Januar 2014 um 20 Uhr, zusammen mit Citydataexplosion<\/a> in der Spedition Bremen<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

Exposing the Invisible<\/i> is Tactical Tech<\/a>’s 3-part series of short films examining some of the most inspiring and provocative investigative cases, those that go further than traditional journalistic investigations. We spoke to hackers, activists and investigators from the UK, to Lebanon, Israel and Pakistan to find how they work with evidence, data and visualisation.
\nAfter watching each film, you can find out more about the tools and tactics used by the protagonists to expose the hidden layers behind problems in their societies. Each film comes with extensive interviews telling the story of each activist or investigator, divided into thematic chapters, as well as a bank of resources<\/a> to help you follow in their footsteps.<\/p>\n

On March, 26th:<\/em><\/p>\n

Our Currency is Information<\/strong> (Episode 1, 17 mins) introduces the work of a team of investigators led by Romanian reporter Paul Radu, investigating organised crime. The film follows the work done to unravel corporate networks in Azerbaijan.<\/p>\n

From Our Point of View<\/strong> (Episode 2, 28 mins) profiles three individuals from the UK, Lebanon and Israel, non-specialists who have taken it upon themselves to use information in innovative and varied ways to shed light on Syria\u2018s YouTube conflict\u2018, the theft of Lebanon\u2018s seashore, and house demolitions in East Jerusalem.<\/p>\n

On April, 2nd:<\/em><\/p>\n

Unseen War<\/strong> (Episode 3, 35 mins) explores the invisible war waged by US drones in Pakistan and its implications.

The Films were produced by Tactical Tech<\/i><\/a>, an organisation dedicated to the use of information in activism. It is an international non-profit organisation with a European office, in Berlin, and an Asian office in Bangalore. In 2013 Tactical Tech completed two projects about how activists and political actors make things seen and present hidden stories: the series Exposing the Invisible <\/i>and a book called Visualising Information for Advocacy<\/i><\/i>.<\/p>\n

The Screening of the short films<\/strong> will be held in\u00a0English language, discussion in German,\u00a0English<\/em> or\u00a0mixed, as\u00a0desired by the audience.
