\u00abOrganizing for Power: Coronavirus und alles danach\u00bb, ist ein vierteiliger Online-Organizingkurs mit Jane McAlevey, der von der Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung organisiert wird und vom 30. M\u00e4rz bis zum 16. April durchgef\u00fchrt werden soll.<\/p>\n

Der Inhalt dieses Kurses wird \u00e4hnlich strukturiert sein, wie die Lecture \u00abWie wir lernen, K\u00e4mpfe zu gewinnen\u00bb vom Herbst 2019. Tausende von Teilnehmenden aus vierzig L\u00e4ndern kamen zusammen mit dem Wunsch und dem Willen, die Strategien und Taktiken zu erlernen, die erforderlich sind, um in schwer zu gewinnenden K\u00e4mpfen erfolgreich zu sein.<\/p>\n

Die Lecture wird von Jane McAlevey geleitet, die durch ihre drei\u00dfigj\u00e4hrige Erfahrung in gewerkschaftlichen Organizing-Kampagnen den Ruf hat, dass sie gemeinsam mit den Besch\u00e4ftigten die h\u00e4rtsten Gegner besiegen kann. Jane hat diese Erfahrungen seither in mehreren B\u00fcchern gesammelt und zusammengefasst, darunter \u00abRaising Expectations (and Raising Hell)\u00bb, \u00abKeine halben Sachen\u00bb und zuletzt \u00abA Collective Bargain: Gewerkschaften, Organizing und der Kampf f\u00fcr Demokratie\u00bb.<\/p>\n

In \u00abOrganizing for Power: Coronavirus und alles danach\u00bb wird Jane auf ihren Erfahrungen aufbauen und mit der aktuellen Weltgesundheitskrise, dem politischen Klima und mit den Organizing-Strategien verbinden, die in diesem Kontext zielf\u00fchrend sind .<\/p>\n

Die Lecture wird aus vier Sitzungen bestehen. Diese finden am 30.03., 02.04., 13.04. und 16.04., montags und donnerstags, statt. Die Lectures starten jeweils um 17:00 Uhr und werden zwei Stunden dauern. Alle Sitzungen werden live und online auf Englisch \u00fcbertragen und simultan ins Deutsche \u00fcbersetzt. Die Teilnahme an dem Kurs erfordert die Teilnahme an allen vier Sitzungen, um einen kontinuierlichen und kollektiven Lernprozess zu gew\u00e4hrleisten. Die Teilnahme ist kostenfrei.<\/p>\n

Viele Gewerkschafts- oder Mieter*innen-Gruppen werden die Lectures nutzen, um auf ihr Team bezogene Lerngruppen, bzw. Aktionsabsprachen um die vier Sitzungen herum aufzubauen. Wir laden euch ein, das auch so zu handhaben: Diesen Kurs und seine vier Termine als Chance zu betrachten, digital zusammenzukommen und f\u00fcr eure Kampagnen und eure Gruppen Verabredungen zu treffen.<\/p>\n

Organizing for Power: Coronovirus and Everything After, is a four-part on-line organizing course led by Jane McAlevey and co-hosted by the Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung, taking place online between March 30th and April 16th.<\/p>\n

The contents of this course are similar to a pilot „Organizing for Power“ webinar hosted in October and November 2019, where thousands of participants from forty countries confirmed the broad need and desire to learn the strategies and tactics required to be successful in hard-to-win struggles.<\/p>\n

Our upcoming webinar will again be led by Jane McAlevey, whose thirty years of experience in union organizing campaigns have earned her a reputation for enabling workers to defeat the toughest opponents. McAlevey has since collected and condensed those experiences in several critically acclaimed books, including „Raising Expectations (and Raising Hell)“, „No Shortcuts, Organizing for Power in the New Gilded Age“, and most recently „A Collective Bargain: Unions, Organizing, and the Fight for Democracy“.<\/p>\n

In Organizing for Power: Coronavirus and Everything After, McAlevey will build on these experiences, connecting them to the current world health crisis, the surrounding political climate, and the organizing that will be necessary to prevent a further collapse into disaster capitalism and right-wing authoritarianism.<\/p>\n

This course comprises four sessions, taking place on Mondays and Thursdays, starting March 30th, and continuing on April 2nd, 13th & 16th. On each of these dates, the two-hour session will be broadcast at 17hs Central European Time \/ 16hs Greenwich Mean Time \/ 11am US Eastern \/ 8am US Pacific. All sessions will be live and online in English, and will feature simultaneous interpretation to German.<\/p>\n

Participation in the course will require attendance in all four sessions to ensure a continuous and collective learning process. If you are an essential worker mandated to work during the hours of the live session, let us know and a Section Leader can be designated to work with you to make the course exercises and video available to you on a make-up basis before the next session.<\/p>\n

Many unions and housing rights groups will be constructing team learnings and actions based around the four classes, and we invite your organization to do the same: to view this course’s four dates as times around which you too can devise collective follow ups and specific campaigns.<\/p>\n
